Privacy policy
No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your games stay in your own iCloud.
Last updated 21 October 2026.
The short version
- I, Khalid Farhan, the maker of Longest Road, do not collect any of your data. I have no server that receives it and no way to see it.
- There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.
- Your tribes, players and games are stored on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit).
What the app stores, and where
When you use Longest Road it stores what you enter: tribe names, player names, game dates, winners, optional points, notes and board photos. This is kept on your device and synced through your iCloud account so it appears on your other devices.
When you share a tribe, the people you invite can see that tribe's players, games, notes and photos, and anyone you make an admin can change them. Apple handles the sharing. Apple's own privacy policy covers how iCloud stores data: apple.com/legal/privacy.
The app also remembers a few settings on your phone only, such as which tribe you last looked at, which player is you, and which tribes you have muted.
Camera, photos and notifications
- Camera and photos: only used when you choose to add a board photo or scan a scoresheet. Scanning reads the text on your phone. Nothing is sent to me or anyone else.
- Notifications: shown by the app on your phone when your tribe changes. No notification service of mine is involved.
Deleting your data
You can delete games and archive tribes in the app. To remove everything, delete the app and remove its data from iCloud in Settings, then your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage. Tribes you created that you shared will also stop being available to the people you shared them with.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
